Despite not coming from a well-educated family or advantaged school system, or having perfect scores and ‘stellar’ extracurriculars, I can attest to the fact that information and strategy made all the difference in making me competitive enough to gain admission to numerous elite institutions and achieve a free college education. I was fortunate enough to be provided an opportunity to receive admissions coaching for underrepresented students, and this experience changed everything for me.

With the help of coaching, I ‘cracked the code’ for effective college applications, compelling essays, and strategic school lists. I learned how to leverage my unique background to be more competitive for scholarships and programs. Through these techniques, I was awarded offers from many amazing universities (including Dartmouth, Hopkins, Cornell, Vanderbilt, Brown, Notre Dame, Tulane, Emory, Pomona, Williams, etc.) and received over $3 million+ in scholarships, including many fully-funded opportunities.

Though I was successful in the admissions process, it still grieves me that most Black and Brown students don’t even know about the opportunities exist for them. Now, I’m committed to paying it forward and sharing insider tips with as many underrepresented students as I can—both on social media and through 1:1 sessions. With the right information and support, anything is possible.
